′Til It's All Gone

Watermelon, sweet and juicy, dripping down my chin...
tomato sandwiches, with bacon bits, shared with a dear friend—
strawberry shortcake, with whipped cream...
don't wake me, if this is a dream:
I'm gonna use up the summer, ′til it's all gone.

Canoeing to Lake Lulu, on a perfect day...
sailing up the coast, to an island in Green Bay—
swimming in Lake Achigan...
surfing Lake Michigan:
l'm gonna use up the summer, ′til it's all gone.

Camping at Wildcat Mountain, under the stars...
camping on the Wisconsin River, on a sandbar—
camping on a wild beach...
moon rising like a big peach:
I'm gonna use up the summer, ′til it's all gone.

I like watching the leaves turn color...
I like watching ′em fall—
I even like watching it snow...
but there's something else I like best of all:

Watermelon, sweet and juicy, dripping down my chin...
tomato sandwiches, with bacon bits, shared with a dear friend—
strawberry shortcake, with whipped cream...
don't wake me, if this is a dream:
I want to keep on dreaming!
I'm gonna use up the summer, ′til it's all gone...
′til it's all gone—
all gone
